Teen Had Cocaine
Carpenter said after he purchased his soda the manager of the store said he thought Haller may have taken asics running something from the tobacco aisle and left without paying for it.
The patrolman said he confronted Haller outside in his car. He said he smelled an odor of alcohol on Haller’s breath and noticed a bulge in his pocket.
The patrolman said he told Haller he was under arrest and asked what else he had in his pockets. He said Haller then reached in his pocket and threw a gray purse onto the seat of the car.
Carpenter said he grabbed the purse, opened it and found wrapped pieces of paper and a plastic bag with small square pieces of paper in it.
A member of the police Intelligence Unit reported that the purse contained ni asics running ne packets of cocaine. He said the purse also contained a small plastic bag which contained a perforated piece of paper which contained “14 hits of LSD.”
The undercover officer said during the search of the suspect’s vehicle two clear plastic bags containing 7 1 asics running /2 grams of marijuana were found under the driver’s seat.
Haller was arraigned before District Justice Joan Hausman on charges of possession and possession with int asics running ent to deliver cocaine; possession and possession with intent to deliver LSD; possession of marijuana and underage drinking. He was committed to Lehigh County Prison under $50,000 bail.
