Taylor Walker recognised as Rising Star
Former NSW AFL Scholarship holder Taylor Walker, has been recognised for his strong performances with the Adelaide Crows in 2009 with the Round 10 NAB AFL Rising Star nomination.
With five fi asics trainers rst half goals, asics trainers Taylor helped the Crows to a commanding 48 point half time lead before running out eventual 27 point winners over reigning premier Hawthorn at AAMI Stadium on Sunday.
“Taylor has worked extremely hard on areas of his game and he needs to keep doing that. But he s a beautiful kick and a natural footballer and can be a very important player for the Club. I think our supporters will enjoy watching him and the club s other younger players develop over the next few seasons,” Adelaide coach Neil Craig said.
A NSW/ACT Scholarship selection at the 2007 NAB AFL Draft, Taylor played the 2008 season with Norwood in the SANFL, booting 56 goals including a bag of nine against Woodville West Torrens. He played his junior football with Broken Hill North.
Danny Stevens, AFL (NSW/ACT) High Performance Manger said he was trilled Walker, describing him as a loveable young man.
“He’s an exciting talent that has worked hard for his opportunities. This is a great result for all of our Scholarship players and the Broken Hill Community. I wish him all t asics trainers he best.”
